Kesäinen t-paita - Summerly T-Shirt

Halusin tehdä vähän siistimmän t-paidan ja nettisurffailulla löytyikin monenlaisia kivoja poimutelmia ja hörselöitä. Silmää miellytti tällä kertaa eniten kukkaköynnösmäinen röyhelökoriste pääntien reunaan. Tällaisen koristeen voi helposti toteuttaa valmiiseenkin t-paitaan eikä siihen tarvita edes ompelukonetta. Muuntelemalla ruusukkeiden määrää, kokoa ja sijaintia voi saada aikaan monenmoista variaatioita. Omaan puserooni kiinnitin kymmenen ruusuketta (pusero on muunnettu holkkihihaiseksi tavallisen t-paidan kaavasta Ottobre Woman kevät/kesä 2007 lehdestä).

I wanted to make a bit neater t-shirt and found surfing the net some nice ruffles and frills. Most pleasing at the moment was this garlandy frill made of flowers. You can easily make it to embellish a shop bought t-shirt as well - and you don't even need a sewing machine. Varying the amount, size and position of flowers makes all the differece. In my t-shirt there's ten flowers attached to neckline.

Ruusukkeiden tekoon tarvitset trikoota (voit hyödyntää myös vanhoja t-paitoja), sakset, ompelulankaa ja neulan. Leikkaa kolmen eri kokoisia ympyröitä - kuvan ympyröiden koot ovat 5, 4 ja 3 cm.


To make flowers you need t-shirt jersey (you can use old t-shirts as well), scissors, thread and needle. Cut circles in three sizes - mine are 5, 4 and 3 cm in diameter.

Aseta ympyrät päällekkäin.
Place the circles on top of each other.

Taita keskeltä ja ompele pari pistoa kiinnittämään ympyrät toisiinsa. Taita vielä neljännekseksi ja kiinnitä taas parilla pistolla.


Fold the layered circles in half and sew a couple of stitches to attach circles together. Fold again to a quarter circle and sew some more stitches near the corner point.

Asettele ruusukkeet haluamaasi kohtaan. Vaikutelma on täyteläisempi, kun ruusukkeet on kiinnitetty melko lähelle toisiaan - kuvan puserossa niiden väli on noin 1,5 cm. Kiinnitä ne keskikohdastaan käsin muutamin pistoin (voit kiinnitellä myös terälehtiä sieltä täältä).

Place the flowers where you want them to be. The appearance is more full if you place them close to  each other - in my shirt the distance between flowers is 1,5 cm. To attach flowers in the middle sew some stitches through from the inside of the shirt (you can sew a couple of stitches through the outer layers too to help the flower open up a bit).
